Talking Gut Health and Digestion

Let's talk digestive health. I've dealt with digestive issues on and off for what feels like forever and it wasn't until I found a high quality probiotic that I actually felt a difference in my overall health. Our bodies are super complex and interconnected, and our gastrointestinal system sits at the core of it all. So when we think about "gut health" it's important to know that the implications go far beyond just digestive health. Gut bacteria can help us digest food, synthesize key vitamins and even play a role in our immune responses.
In probiotics, there are usually millions of different strains of bacteria (the good kind!) that can impact all kinds of different body functions and systems. For example, specific bacteria have been shown to synthesize B vitamins, like biotin and folate, in the intestines.
Why should we care? Folate is responsible for red blood cell production, which is key in preventing anemia – a condition that can leave you feeling fatigued and weak; and biotin which helps our bodies convert food into energy.
A quality probiotic can be one of the most important tools in supporting gut health and whole body health – especially around supporting gut barrier integrity. Your gut barrier is made up of tons of cells that make up the outer lining of your intestines (aka your "gut"). These cells are 'held together' by tight junctions that monitor what's allowed in and out of your intestines. There's SO many things that can impact the integrity of our gut barriers and can cause feelings of bloating, fatigue, brain fog, joint pain, skin problems and so much more.

I've tried so many different products that have claimed to help. It wasn't until I found Seed that I noticed a difference not only in my overall digestion, but in my skin, energy levels and mood, too.

One of the reasons why I love this brand so much is because it's rooted in science and has plenty of data to back up its products. I take their Daily Synbiotic every morning and it's a staple in my routine. Their Daily Synbiotic is a 2-in-1 pre- and probiotic, formulated with 24 scientifically and clinically studied strains to support digestive and whole-body health (think: skin, heart and gut health as well). It has 16 specific strains that were examined in a 300-person study for their support of several gut functions, like bowel movement regularity, stool consistency and occasional bloating.

If you'd like to try Seed's Daily Synbiotic you can use the code TSS to save 15% off here!

Let me know how it goes!
