For anyone that loves TSS live classes will recognize Katy & Matt, our amazing TSS Trainers! This week we added Katy and Matt’s classes to our on-demand videos for you all to go back and take their classes anytime!
I thought it would be fun to give them a full introduction and get to know them a little bit more outside of TSS with a little Q&A! Keep reading to find out a little more about their background, skincare routines and more!
Xx,

Q: Where are you originally from?
A: Born and raised in the Midwest, I am a very proud Wisconsin girl ! Wisconsin is my happy place, I have lived in NYC now for 10 years ( omg ) and when people ask me where I am from I always say Wisconsin.
Q: What’s one thing you do every day?
A: My skincare routine! My time with all my lotions and potions is so special to me, lol, but it is so true! It is my “me” time and makes me feel good. So it’s a win-win, healthy glowy skin and my time to unwind.
Q: What do you like to do for fun?
A: I absolutely love to travel! I love exploring new places creating memories to last a lifetime. But this past year, traveling has taken a backseat to my Bravo watching addiction. Give me any housewife franchise, a glass of red wine and popcorn and I am happy as can be.
Q: What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
A: I went to Marymount Manhattan College and received my BFA in modern dance. One of the alumni dancers on a panel once said, “You have to always remember, whenever you walk into an audition, the people behind the desk judging you, want YOU to be what they are looking for.“ This might seem obvious, but it really stuck with me. People surrounding you want you to succeed and you have to have the confidence to showcase what you have to offer, be it as a dancer or not.
Q: What do you love about teaching TSS?
A: Connecting with all of you !! Having this community that is worldwide, of like-minded strong independent women is truly incredible. To be a part of something that is bigger than myself is so special you all inspire me to be better, and to know that it is okay to fall back on one another for help. I absolutely love sharing the gift of movement and helping turn someone’s day around...that’s just magic.
Matt
Q: Where are you originally from?
A: I was born and raised on Staten Island. I am such a proud native New Yorker. People always ask me if I'm from California and I'm always flattered - but if you know me, you know I have the grit of a NYer!
Q: What’s one thing you do every day?
A: I drink coffee every day and I LOVE IT! I find that coffee boosts not only my energy level, but my MOOD. With the right amount of coffee I'm happy to uplift myself and the others around me!
Q: What’s one thing you wish you had known when you began your career?
A: In the beginning of my career I wish I had known the potential impact that every single colleague could have on you. With every interaction at the workplace there is a chance to learn, grow and connect. Only recently have I tuned in to that fact and now I treat every interaction as an opportunity to improve!
Q: How do you find work/life balance?
A: I find work/life balance by turning the notifications off! It sounds so simple but it makes a HUGE difference when you do it. Once I leave the office, I turn off my email notifications, and peace ensues.
Q: On tough days, what makes you feel better?
A: On tough days, I act quickly to change the conversation I'm having with myself. Tough days for me usually look like my mind racing with a bunch of shoulds. "You should workout, you should eat this, you should do that..." INSTEAD, I tune in to how I'm feeling and what my mind, body and spirit wants, as an entire unit.
Q: What do you love about teaching TSS?
A: I love the flow that TSS provides. Connecting your movement, to the breath, to the music, makes working out fun and neurologically pleasing. There is also nothing like the support of the TSS fam. I love connecting with every one of my clients, hearing about their experience and sharing mine!
Megan, I love all your newsletters. They’re a great dose of keeping up on TSS, but just the right amount of content. Not too much, but meaningful and includes interesting info like what book you’re reading. I really liked this introduction and brief Q&A with Matt and Katy.
Thanks and I continue to wish you and M the best on getting situated in LA before Baby H arrives!
Love,
Lu See
