How The Sculpt Society Changed My Life

In a world full of constant hustle and bustle, it's often challenging to find an outlet that effectively pushes you to grow in your fitness journey, but also nourishes your mind and soul. My journey with The Sculpt Society begins in March 2020. I came home from my sophomore year of college in Philadelphia at Drexel University because of the global pandemic. Not only was it a period of adjustment going from in-person school to online learning, but there I was also thrust into the role of one of the caregivers within my family. This is the story of how I turned to TSS in that time of hardship. A decision that truly transformed my life, one sculpt, one dance, and one workout at a time.

Like many of us, when the pandemic hit I juggled seemingly endless responsibilities. Not only was I living at home for the foreseeable future, but I was taking online classes full time, preparing to apply for my 6 Month Co-op (internship), and helping my family take care of my Dad. My Dad had been diagnosed with his second form of cancer when I was in high school, but now it seemed like his health was truly on the decline. We began working with hospice virtually while my entire family and I became the hospice caregivers for my Dad. It felt like each day I had to be “on” 24/7, and I quickly found myself getting easily overwhelmed with everything going on. There was something missing from my life, something vital—time for myself. That's when I began my TSS journey.

The Sculpt Society is more than just a fitness platform; it's a mindset, a lifestyle, a sanctuary. I remembered my older sister saying she took classes from Megan in New York a few years prior, and that the classes were absolutely amazing. Megan was encouraging, fun, but also knew how to plan a killer workout. I tried it out in 2019, but being at school I found it easier to just go to the gym with my friends rather than workout in my apartment. That all changed when one day in March 2020 decided one day to try a longer IG Live Megan had recently done during quarantine. Safe to say I was instantly hooked. I loved approaching my fitness journey from a lease of what makes me feel good rather than one simply rooted in superficial goals and learned to prioritize myself. This comprehensive approach deeply resonated with me as I would use the 30-45min each day to detach from what was going on around me and focus on something that made me feel good.

For me, The Sculpt Society was a revelation. I discovered the sheer joy of movement through  dance cardio and low impact sculpt workouts because they made exercise feel rewarding and invigorating. I found myself eagerly anticipating each 45min block I carved out for TSS, and it truly allowed me to stay positive when life seemed to be throwing nonstop curveballs. The workouts not only strengthened my body but also nurtured my mind. The focus on mindfulness and being present in my body helped me find clarity in my daily life, as I  could detach from the daily emotional challenges of caregiving. It was through this that I began to truly understand the importance and value of self-care.

The changes I experienced extended far beyond her physical appearance. Yes, I became stronger, leaner, and more flexible, but the most profound transformation was in my mindset. I learned to embrace self-love and self-acceptance, recognizing that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. The release of endorphins and the sense of accomplishment I gained from each workout provided me with the emotional strength to face the challenges of life with a renewed sense of purpose. My newfound confidence translated into other areas of her life. No matter what life threw at me, I knew I could make it through. I was more present than ever in my friendships, family, and responsibilities.

Today, my life has been irrevocably transformed by The Sculpt Society. My Dad did pass away in June 2020, and the one consistency I had in my life was TSS.When I logged on every day, no matter how sad or angry or annoyed I was at what was going on in my life, I was able to reach a state of satisfaction and positivity.  It's no longer just about the workouts; it's about living life to the fullest and going into each day grateful that you have a body to move. TSS gave me the chance to celebrate life itself every day through my lowest points.

The Sculpt Society provided me with a much-needed outlet to detach from the emotional challenges of caregiving and prioritize my own well-being. It became my sanctuary for renewal and self-discovery. By nurturing our physical and emotional well-being, we become better equipped to provide the love and care our loved ones deserve. So, I encourage you to find your sanctuary, prioritize yourself, and discover how TSS can change your life.
